Day 1 Arrival in Heerenveen
The small town between Leeuwarden and Zwolle is the starting point of your tour. The well-known Batavus bicycle factory is based here.

Day 2 Tag Heerenveen - Rijs, approx. 46/65 km / 29/40 mi
Today you cycle through a polder landscape first to Lemmer, a centre for water sports. The rest of the tour through Gaasterland, on the other hand, is rich in woodland. If you wish, you can extend the route in the Rottige Meente nature reserve.

Day 3 Rijs - Harlingen, approx. 63 km/39 mi
The first stop of the day is Stavoren, the oldest town in Friesland. Cycle along the coast to the harbour and trading town of Harlingen. Makkum, which is on the way, is famous for its pottery.

Day 4 Harlingen - Leeuwarden approx. 66 km/41 mi
Today's landscape was reclaimed from the Wadden Sea centuries ago with dykes and mounds. Along the Dokkumer Ee you reach Leuwaarden, the exciting capital of the province of Friesland.

Day 5 Leeuwarden - Heerenveen, 67 km/42 mi
The last stage takes you to the water sports resort of Grou on the edge of the Alde Feanen National Park. Cycle along small canals back to Heerenveen, where you can end the evening sitting comfortably by a canal.
